The growing need for psychosocial rehabilitation of the people suffering from mental illness and lack of such services in the northern part of the country motivated The Richmond Fellowship Society (India) to establish Delhi Branch.

RFSI Delhi provides quality care and healthy environment to clients suffering from Schizophrenia at its Halfway Home & Day Care Centre in its modern facility named VISHWAS. Its well trained counsellors help members to know their strengths and vulnerabilities and manage their mental health. The programme focuses on developing social and practical skills so as to overcome their limitations in their personal, social and vocational functioning.

Role of family

The participation of families is crucial for recovery of their wards. The families are involved in progress reviews of their wards conducted at the end of every 3 months. In these review meetings the member, family and counsellors jointly discuss and plan goals for the next stage. Family or the local guardian visit facility every month. They also accompany member in residential care for periodic psychiatric evaluations.
